Total Beginners Help Desk
December 10 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Did you just get a new or new-to-you computer, smartphone, or tablet? Is it still sitting in the box or out of the box and just collecting dust? Are you afraid to touch the thing? Every wonder why a computer has a mouse and your phone or tablet doesn’t? Do you wonder what you are supposed to do once you turn the device on? Do you wonder what to do when it won’t do what you want it to do? Then the Total Beginners Help Desk is just what you need.
This Help Desk will be meeting the 2nd and 4th Tuesday afternoons from 3:00-4:00 p.m. (except for the later one in November and December – holidays you know). Bring your problems, issues, questions and anything related to using a computer, smartphone, or tablet to Jim and Chuck and they (and maybe some others) will try and help you figure it out. This is for those computer, smartphone, and tablets users that are just starting out or have had little experience using any of these devices (more experienced users will find a different Help Desk on another day). If we, unpaid volunteers, can’t answer your question or know how to do what you need, we’ll help you find the solution.
You can bring your own laptop (or use one of our classroom computers), smartphone, or tablet and get help directly on it, We run Windows 10 as that’s the main operating system for our classroom computers. We’ll try to help you with any smartphone or tablet (iDevice or Android) problem you might have.
Come one time, come every time. We’ll be glad to help you and maybe you can even help some of the others because you already know the answers to their questions. That’s what makes a Help Desk so great, members helping members.
